What’s New in 2016
TEDxMacquarieUniversity to take a break and come back stronger than ever in 2017
The TEDxMacquarieUniversity team is very proud to host the longest-running university-run TEDx event in Australia, having held successful events every year for the past five years. Since 2011, a couple of passionate students hosting a small event for 100 people has grown to an expansive and engaged community, with our team of twenty talented and diverse volunteers, supported by an additional fifty event-day volunteers and stakeholders right across Macquarie University now delivering sell-out events engaging over 500 attendees.
University-run TEDx events face significant challenges to their longevity due to the frequent turnover of the student body and consequently low team retention. This year, TEDxMacquarieUniversity faces this challenge, seeing many of our most talented and experienced team members moving on to other ventures.
In order for us to re-build a team full of individuals just as passionate and dedicated to this community as those who are moving on, and for TEDxMacquarieUniversity to continue to deliver exciting experiences to our community year-after-year, we have decided to spend some time in 2016 reviewing our processes and re-building our team so we are ready to come back in 2017 with our best event ever.
If you have any questions regarding this process, please do not hesitate to contact us at email@example.com. Additionally, if you haven’t already, sign-up to our newsletter for the latest updates and information about our 2017 event.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank you, our community, for your ongoing support and enthusiasm. We look forward to coming back to you in 2017 with more great ideas work spreading!
