Travel for the Best Adventures: These are the 5 Things You Need to Know

“Go on, travel. You will transform and be better because of it”

Are you keen to enhance your travel experiences and fill your life with the beautiful things that the world has to offer? Be excited, as you have taken a step forward in enriching your heart with more positive experiences for considering the above. Often we get caught up on a tiny dot on the map, running in circles with the same old routine which often leads to missing out on the simple joys that can be accessible anytime. The best way to counteract this experience is to get out there and travel. A wise man by the name of Ferris Bueller once said “Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop and look around once in a while you could miss it”.

So how do we make the best of travelling and get started? In reality, it’s not necessary to have a stash load of money to be fulfilled and really get out there. No matter what stage you’re in, considering the following TOP 5 tips shall give you a kickstart in your travels particularly for day trips.

1. Start Out by Doing Your Research.

There are plenty of ideas that exist as to what are the best places to visit, you could start your search with a keyword of a particular area and usually, it can branch out from there. Try a place you have no idea about. Thanks to society becoming more connected via the internet, in particular, social media. Most of our world has been explored by humankind that has been documented by some media i.e. Instagram. Their experiences can definitely provide wisdom for your own travels.

2. Plan for Great Food.

Half of what makes a great travel is having great food, so having an idea of what or where you may eat should be sufficient to get the excitement juices flowing. It doesn’t necessarily have to be expensive, you could pack your own food with love or research the best cheap eats around the places you’re seeking to adventure.

3. Reach Out to Friends and Those You Know.

Bring at least someone on board, when it comes to travelling we naturally have a positive vibe to our experiences as we’re creatures full of curiosity when we explore new things. So what are you waiting for? Life is too short! Share the love and invite others, they will thank you for it especially those who may not be doing much. You’ll find that you’d be filled with gratitude thanks to the awesome memories formed.

4. Load Your Bag with Travel Essentials.

Consider the activities you might engage in with your travels such as swimming, snorkelling or a picnic you might have. Be prepared for the opportunity to have a great experience when it arises! Pack your bag accordingly.

P.S. Cameras and selfie-sticks included 🙂

5. On the Day – Be an Early Bird!

Based on experience in addition to the above, travelling at this stage pumps in a lot of the positive hormones. Wherever you may go, you’ll find yourself craving to stay in the area for quite a while so why not get the best of it and extend your time by leaving early to get out there?

At the end of the day, the big beautiful world really does exist out there. We just need to go that extra mile to get us started and it’s worth it! After a great travel, you’d more than likely experience a vibe that living in this world is fulfilling. The process of finding your travel rhythm, however, may take some trial and error. But rest assured by following the above tips, it should definitely make your travelling experiences much richer.

  1. In Sydney, Australia I would recommend the following places as they’re absolutely great!

    – The Royal National Park situated in the Sutherland Shire. It’s a beautiful reserve where the forest streams with beautiful rivers and meets up with the ocean
    – The Wollongong region
    – Palm Beach and a tour around the Barrenjoey Lighthouse with amazing lookouts
    – The whole Sydney CBD
    – Parramatta area where commercialised activity is increasing!

    • Shameless plug here but I’m gonna add Cabramatta (my hometown) to your list. Lots of great food, culture and unique shops to explore that’s unlike any other place (I arrogantly presume). It gets a huge influx of visitors from across the Sydney region especially when Chinese New Year and Moon Festival rolls around which undoubtedly contributes to the vibrant atmosphere.

  4. In essence, great experiences are made when travelling has a dangerously good combination of preparation for the journey and spontaneity to be in the moment ?

  5. This post really captures the joy and benefits of travelling, no matter how long or short the journey is! It’s really important to get out of our comfort zones and explore the world around us, even places close to us that we never knew about. Travelling is like a breath of fresh air and does wonders for the soul, a short road trip can also benefit us more than we think. Really enjoyed this post, great job! 🙂

  6. I don’t know what it is but travelling at night is by far the most exhilarating on the senses in every way!

For those who haven’t been to Newcastle (3 hours NNE of Sydney), or do live in Newwy but haven’t explored their own hometown – Newcastle Memorial Walk is absolutely indescribable at night with the ocean waves crashing into the cliff edges, fortunately all without the ambient noise of cars speeding by you.

Coming to think about it.. #HoneyMoonRecommendation #MaybeEvenASmallWedding. PERFECTO!
